Connecting your brokerage account gives Ivy a complete picture of your portfolio — your holdings, open positions, cash balances, and more. With that context, Ivy can provide personalized analysis, flag risks, and answer questions about your actual investments rather than working in the abstract. The connection takes only a few minutes and uses your broker’s secure OAuth authorization flow.
Podium connects to your brokerage using read-only OAuth through a third-party integration service. Podium never sees or stores your brokerage login credentials and cannot place trades on your behalf.

How to connect your brokerage

1

Log in to Podium Markets

Go to app.podiummarkets.ai and sign in to your account.
2

Open the Brokerages section

Navigate to Settings and select the Calibrations tab, or click the **”+ Add a brokerage” **item directly in the Portfolio navigation in your sidebar.
3

Click Connect a brokerage

Click the Connect a brokerage button to open the broker selection screen.
4

Choose your broker

Select your brokerage from the list of supported institutions. For a full list of compatible brokers, see Supported Brokerages.
5

Complete the OAuth authorization

You will be redirected to your broker’s login page. Sign in with your brokerage credentials to authorize a read-only connection. This step happens entirely on your broker’s website — Podium never sees your credentials.
6

Return to Podium — sync starts automatically

After you authorize access, you are redirected back to Podium Markets. Your portfolio sync begins immediately. Depending on your broker, the initial sync may take from a few moments to a day to complete.

What happens after you connect

Once your brokerage is connected, Podium begins pulling your account data so Ivy can work with it right away. Data that syncs:
  • Holdings — the securities and assets you currently own
  • Positions — quantity, average cost basis, and current market value
  • Cash balances — available cash and margin across your account
  • Account activities and orders — any recent trades or account account activities
The exact fields available depend on what your broker’s API provides. Some brokers surface more detail than others. Sync frequency: Podium refreshes your portfolio data automatically at regular intervals throughout the day — see Portfolio Sync for details on how sync works and how to refresh on demand.
If your connection fails or Ivy reports that your data is out of date, try re-authenticating your brokerage. Go to Settings → Accounts, find the affected account, and click Disconnect. If your broker is not appearing in the connection list, check Supported Brokerages to confirm it is currently supported.
